Content Playback
If you can play content that you downloaded under
Software Download
, but you can’t play videos,
images, or audio in your own presentations, follow the steps in this section to troubleshoot the
problem.
My Image files don't play on BrightSign
If your image isn't playing, it might be an unsupported format, or it might not meet the required
specifications to play on BrightSign. Make sure your images meet the following requirements:
•
Images must be JPEG, Bitmap, or PNG files
•
Images must have a max resolution of 1920x1080
NOTE:
HD2000 doesn't support progressive or CMYK JPEG files.
My video files don't play on BrightSign
If your video isn't playing, it might be an unsupported format, or it might not meet the required
specifications to play on the BrightSign. Make sure your videos meet the following requirements:
•
Videos must be MPEG-1 and MPEG-2
•
Videos must have a maximum bit rate of 25Mbps
•
Videos must have a maximum resolution of 1920x1080
•
(HD110, HD210, HD410, HD810, and HD1010 only) Make sure videos are MPEG-2 Transport
streams
•
(HD2000 only) Make sure videos are MPEG-1 System streams or MPEG-2 Program streams
NOTE:
You can normally use the same authoring application to convert between video and
stream formats. There are also inexpensive or free utilities available to convert between formats.
Streamclip (Mac & PC) is a free program that converts easily between Transport and Program
streams. Mpeg2VCR (PC) does a great job converting between stream formats.
